Marriage is the definition-the legally or formally recognized union of two people as partners in a personal relationship.

Marriage is not only powerful, it's beautiful. It births life. It's an expression of God’s character, His vision, and HIs commitment and faithfulness.

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up." (NIV) Ecclesiastes 4vs9

1. Choosing action over laziness
Laziness is a form of selfishness
Selfishness puts the fire out quicker than anything else
The pursuit of your spouse isn’t over when you get married, it must be greater. Jordan Peterson “Do not settle, strive up.”
Pursuing God enables you to pursue your spouse.

2. Choosing Servanthood over Selfishness
The way to destroy selfishness is in the act of serving
Selfishness chooses me first
Servanthood chooses me last
 
3. Choosing Humility over Pride
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Phillipians 2vs3-4

"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." (NIV) Ephesians 4vs2-3

You can create an environment for your spouse to thrive in, to inspire change, and to grow in Christ.

You become a safe place when you dwell in the secret place

These actions are stirring and creating an environment of safety and unlock a deeper level of intimacy where influence is transpired.
