Donnie McClurkin’s 60th Birthday in NY and Album Charts Debut At No.1

Celebrating Pastor Donnie McClurkin was a fantastic experience at the live recording in London on Friday the 18th of October 2019 at the New Wine Church in Woolwich Hosted by Premier marking his 20th anniversary. The event was jam pack with new and old followers of Donnie McClurkin, all who came with expecting hearts. The whole event from start to finish was not only a concert but an entire worship experience. 
It marked 20 years since Donnie had last performed live in London. In an interview with VisionsTVonline Donnie discussed the importance of paying homage to London, as this is where the pinnacle part of his career took off, where God launched his ‘global ministry’ and where his album went platinum, selling 1.9 million records. 
Muyiwa from Premier Gospel hosted and performed at the concert. The host’s church choir New Wine choir also took to the stage and supported Pastor Donnie. 

November brought many exciting moments for the man himself, being in London was not the only celebrating factor for Donnie as his birthday followed close behind. On the 13th November the album ‘A different song’ was released, Donnie spoke dearly of the song from the album ‘Can anybody hear me’ which he had only written days before the Live in London concert, speaks about depression and loss and lets people know not only does God see them, that Donnie does also. 
Donnie’s birthday was on the 9th of November but he held his birthday celebration on the 16th at The Greater Allen A.M.E Cathedral of New York in Donnie’s place of birth Jamaica, New York. The Concert held 2000 people and was completely sold out. 
Andrew & Shireen from VisionsTvOnline were invited as special guests along with their 11-year-old son Romario, who also was greeted by Donnie and given a 100 dollar bill at the Live in London concert. 
Surrounded by family and friends, Donnie happily greeted them upon entering and even went to the balcony where loving fans sat as he greeted them. The unforgettable night was hosted by Donnie’s close friend Kirk Franklin and he had special appearances from Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, Erica Campbell, Cece Winans, Jason Nelson, Kierra Sheard, Hezekiah Walker, Jonathan McReynolds, and Jerard and Jovan 

Footage from the night has been going viral on social media where the artists such as Tremaine Hawkins, Kierra Sheard, and Erica Campbell were passing the mic to each other singing the song ‘Changed’. Bishop Marvin Winans joined in the celebration, collaborating with Donnie singing the song ‘Stand’. The evening also had some light-hearted entertainment as some talented members from the audience had a sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Donnie competition. 
Since the concert, Donnie’s album ‘A different song’ has Debut at no.1 as seen on US headlines and has been awarded a YouTube Play button awarded for having over 100,000 subscribers. We look forward to seeing what God has in store for this wonderful man of God.
